Welcome to Heritage House Mysuru Preserving the rich heritage and culture of Mysuru through art education and community engagement

Who we are

Heritage Arts Mysuru is a part of Indian Heritage Cities Network Foundation, working towards protecting the history, culture and architectural heritage of Old Mysuru for the new Mysuru. Nestled in the heart of this cultural capital, we are a center dedicated to disseminating knowledge about the city's remarkable past and its enduring traditions since April 2023. It is set up to foster new talents and act as an open space for the community engagement through the vibrant activities and events

The Indian Heritage Cities Network was initially launched as a UNESCO programme in response to the fast changing urban context of Indian historic cities that threaten to destroy some of India’s diverse heritage in cities and advance the promotion of heritage based sustainable development in India. significant cities, universities and institutional members as well as a number of NGO partners. Heritage Cities Development Network Society (HCDNS), a sister organization of IHCNF was registered in the year 2015.

We push for the preservation of Mysuru's cultural heritage by working with locals, businesses and government departments.

What we do

Exhibits

We support the local artists and give a platform to their captivating displays that showcase Mysuru's local art and their works on architectural marvels, artistic expressions, and historical timelines.

Events & Workshops

We conduct events such as music jams, concerts, plays, intimate comedy shows, movie screenings and many more. Participate in interactive workshops on traditional crafts, dance performances, and talks by renowned historians and authors.

Resource Center

We have ‘PodMysuru‘ - the Podcast center, which tells the forgotten tales of the city and its glory. ‘Karnata‘ study centre for old works of Kannada from 8th Century. Delve into our comprehensive collection of books, photographs, and documents to dive deeper into the city's rich tapestry.
